A medical doctor attached to the Agodi Custodial Centre of the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS), Dr. Wasiu Adeyemi, on Wednesday explained the absence of a former Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) in Oyo State, Alhaji Mukaila Lamidi, also known as Auxiliary, from court proceedings on Tuesday.
Dr. Adeyemi told the court that Auxiliary was rushed out of the courtroom after he complained of dizziness.
He spoke while appearing before Justice Adetujoye, who presided over Court 11 of the Oyo State High Court, Ring Road, Ibadan, on Wednesday.
The Nation reports that the trial judge had on Tuesday ordered the medical doctor to appear and clarify the health status of the former Chairman of the Disciplinary Committee of the Oyo State Park Management System (PMS), after he was taken out of court shortly before his case, which had been adjourned for continuation of hearing on January 20 and 21, 2026.

According to reports, events took an unexpected turn on Tuesday while the court was waiting to resume. Auxiliary, who had earlier been present in court, was surrounded by correctional officers and other individuals, amid indications that he was unwell.
Proceedings were, however, calmer on Wednesday when the matter was called at about 11 a.m.
Auxiliary was again brought to court by officials of the correctional facility but was not docked.
Addressing the court, Dr. Adeyemi said the former PMS boss would require about one month to fully recuperate.
In a ruling, Justice Adetujoye adjourned the case to March 4 and 5, 2026, for continuation of hearing.
The prosecution team was led by Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions, O.S. Tella, alongside O.A. Bolarinwa, Senior State Counsel, and F.F. Gbadamosi.
Counsel to the defendant, Olalekan Ojo, SAN, was absent but was represented by another member of the defence team.
