An Ogun State medical doctor has been remanded in prison for issuing a false medical report to aid social welfare activist Adetoun Onajobi, popularly known as Just Adetoun, who is facing charges of cyberbullying.
The doctor allegedly prepared the forged document to justify Onajobi’s failure to appear before the police following a petition over her online videos accusing Governor Dapo Abiodun of neglecting public welfare.
Investigations revealed that the doctor had never examined or treated the activist.
“The doctor confessed that he never met, examined, treated, or revived Adetoun Onajobi, contrary to the claims contained in the medical report.
He has been arrested, charged, and remanded for fraudulent medical documentation and obstruction of justice,” Ogun State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Oluwasina Ogungbade, SAN, said in a statement.

The controversy surrounding Onajobi began after Nigerian-born British boxer Anthony Joshua was involved in a road accident in Ogun State in December 2025.
The activist had released videos claiming the state lacked emergency ambulance services and accused the governor of prioritising personal leisure over public welfare.
Onajobi, who has since gone into hiding, is facing six-count charges filed by the Ogun State Police Command.
The state maintains that multiple emergency response services operate within Ogun and described the activist’s claims as false, malicious, and potentially dangerous to public safety.
The doctor’s remand is part of ongoing investigations into attempts to obstruct justice in the cyberbullying case. Authorities have urged the public to allow the legal process to take its course.
