Chelsea interim manager Frank Lampard has said the club is taking its time to hire a new permanent manager.
Lampard believes that the Blues need to get their next managerial decision right, with Mauricio Pochettino believed to be closing in on the role
According to him, the leading candidates are also waiting for the season to end before they begin work.
Top managers often prefer to have a pre-season with the squad rather than being thrown in mid-season.
Lampard said: “We are at that stage of the season now where we understand that we are not going to get into Europe, and other managers are probably going: ‘I’ll take a look at this and wait till pre-season when I can enforce what I want to do’.”
