Gospel singer Alayo Melody has spoken out about the circumstances surrounding the death of popular singer Bunmi Akinnanu, popularly known as Omije Ojumi.
In a video shared on Instagram, Melody said plans to fly Omije Ojumi to India for medical treatment were halted because she was too weak to travel.
He explained that it took more than three attempts to secure visa approval, but by the time it was granted, doctors had declared her unfit to fly.
Melody expressed gratitude to those who supported Omije Ojumi during her illness, specifically naming Prophet Sam Ojo and Prophet Taiwo Ojo, who covered the costs of her visa processing and medical treatment.

“I appreciate everyone who stood by Omije Ojumi when she was sick. Prophet Sam Ojo and Prophet Taiwo Ojo really did a lot. There was a time we decided to fly her to India, and these two prophets footed the bill for the visa and medical treatment. The application was done three times before it was approved. By then, Omije was so weak that the doctors said she could not fly,” he said.
Alayo Melody also urged prophets to refrain from posting visions of death on social media.
“I want to appeal to prophets to stop going on social media and telling their followers that they saw death visions about our celebrities. If you see a bad vision about anyone, please contact them privately. Everybody will die one day. May God bless us with long life. We will communicate the burial arrangements for Omije soon,” he added.
