Kamarudeen Adeyokun who is one of the organizers of Abalti Barracks pre-season tournament has thrown more insights as to why they started the competition.
The tournament which will be an annual event, according to him is primarily for the purpose of youths development.
“We are happy to have this great facility here in Abalti Barracks courtesy of hon. Femi Gbajabiamila who has been encouraging us in this regards.
“His main aim of building this facility is to help the youths, reduce violence, crime, joblessness, drug abuse especially in Surulere Local Government and this has been working because Surulere has never been involved in any street violence since a large chunk of the youths play football.
