The 227th World Athletics Council Meeting will take place via teleconference on Wednesday 9 and Thursday 10 March 2022 and will be chaired by World Athletics President Sebastian Coe.

A virtual press conference is scheduled at 17:00 CET (tbc) on the second day of the Council Meeting. It will be held as a teleconference via Zoom with a maximum number of 300 participants.

The media briefing is open to all media representatives. Those wishing to join the call must apply to media.pr@worldathletics.org by 10am CET Wednesday 9 March so we are able to accommodate numbers.

The media briefing will be streamed live on the World Athletics YouTube channel. More details will follow this week.

A media release summarising the discussions and decisions of the Council Meeting will be issued and published on the World Athletics website that evening.
