World Cup Qualifier: Am Happy to Return to Super Eagles Team with Liberia Test

Super Eagles and Girondins Bordeaux Forward Samuel Kalu has expressed joy over his return to the team after a long absent, adding their match against Liberia will be a good kick off for them as they target maximum points needed.

Kalu played only 4 matches for Nigeria so far in the CAF AFCON qualifiers before his injury which kept him away from the team.

He told SportsDayonline in Lagos yesterday that, “I ma very excited to be back in the team. i know this is our first World Cup qualifier game, we are going to give in our best to make sure we pick the 3 points.

“Liberia is not a push over team but we understand the task ahead of us especially me that just returned to the team. i have to do every thing within my strength to win my position back though i know its not for a person but i have to be among the numbers.

The right footer also maintained,” We know how it works in Nigeria, Fans like good football and result which i believe we are capable of not disappointing them today.

“The fans should just continue praying and supporting us. This is going to be our first match in the qualifying but the most important thing is to pick the available ticket by the end of the competition,” kalu said.
