Moldova-based midfielder Edmund Addo has been released from theGhana’s squad ahead of their two-legged 2022 FIFA World Cup playoff tie agaist Nigeria due to injury,
SportsDayonline gathered that apart from Addo more six invited six players were also out of the clash as they were unable to join the Black Stars squad in camp.
The Ghana Football Association confirmed that Majeed Ashimeru, Antoine Semenyo, Baba Abdul Rahman, Samuel Owusu, Richmond Boakye Yiadom, and Kamaldeen Sulemana were all invited to assist Ghana to qualify for the World Cup finals in Qatar but had to be excluded due to injuries.
Meanwhile black Stars of Ghana will battle the Super Eagles of Nigeria at Baba Yara Stadium i Kumasi on Friday while the return leg will be played in Abuja on Tuesday.
