15 Top Scouts Confirmed For Abuja SPOCS Tournament

No fewer than 15 top scouts from different European countries have confirmed their availability for the fast approaching SPOCS Scouting tournament in Abuja.

Also amongst these are 5 top European teams lead scouts, we are told.

Between October 2nd and November 3rd this year, SPOCS have had two scouting tournaments in Nigeria, where 11 top talents have gotten their invite, while 5 have signed before their trip to Europe.

SPOCS Nigeria director, Gbenga Agbejoye insists that Abuja is meant to be the very best of all, pointing out that they believe in the capacity of the teams coming and look forward to a successful business in Abuja.

He however charged the teams to ensure they present top talents, rather than investing their time on below average and too many  average players in their teams.

Speaking further, Agbejoye said this is not an avenue to encourage old men in the game but the opportunity is for the young truly young Nigerians that are within the ages of 17.5years to 19. 5years maintaining that under 19 is what the tournament is cut out for.

Again he emphasized that the program is not a tournament for players to have a scouting experience, rather it’s purely for business, immediate business, he said.

Recall that SPOCS had a successful scouting program in Ikenne, Remo, Ogun state and was also part of the 3rd governor Diri scouting tournament in Bayelsa state.

Top on the bill of scouts coming are SPOCS CEOS Sascha Empacher and Cherno Samba, others are scouts from Fenerbache, Rapid Wien and Redstar Belgrade.
