Ahead of the 2027 general elections, the North Central Youths Support Group for Bola Tinubu on Saturday inaugurated its national and state executives, pledging to mobilise massive support to return the President to office.
The ceremony, held in Abuja, drew youth leaders and political stakeholders from the six states of the North Central region and the Federal Capital Territory.
Addressing the gathering, the group’s Director-General, Comrade Abdullahi Muhammed Jemil, said the organisation aimed to deliver no fewer than five million votes for Tinubu in the next election.
“We promise five million votes within our power to deliver our President. We need your guidance, advice and protection,” Jemil declared.
He explained that the group would engage communities, institutions, and markets across the region to promote Tinubu’s candidacy, describing the President as the best option for Nigeria. Jemil urged state coordinators, women leaders, and national executives to activate state, local government, and ward chapters immediately and intensify voter registration efforts.
“Getting voters’ cards is our machinery to deliver our President. We are committed to working across 1,432 wards in the North Central and the FCT to ensure President Tinubu’s re-election by the special grace of God,” he added.
Also speaking, the group’s Board of Trustees Chairman, Hon. Hassan Omale Atayoma, called for patience with the President’s economic policies amid current hardships.
“People say they are suffering. Of course. Even when you farm, you must work before you eat. But at the end of the day, there will be food,” Atayoma said, adding that Tinubu’s policies would yield long-term benefits for future generations.
Atayoma noted the President’s record of appointments and infrastructural provisions for the region, saying these achievements motivated the group’s support.

“We know what he has done for us. He has appointed our men and women to critical positions. We hope that if he returns, there will be more appointments and more development for our youths,” he said.
The group’s National Youth Ambassador, Prince Ngbede Odoh, urged youths across the region to take advantage of the ongoing Continuous Voters Registration (CVR) exercise. He warned that votes for Tinubu in 2023 barely exceeded four million, despite over 12 million registered voters.
Odoh called on the group to sensitise residents not only to register but also to turn out en masse to vote for Tinubu in 2027.
National Director of the Tinubu Support Group, Umar Tanko Yankasi, represented by Dr. Hassan Sadiq, described the North Central as one of Nigeria’s most resource-rich regions, citing Kogi State as an example. He stressed the need for leaders with strong economic knowledge, saying Tinubu had implemented bold economic decisions avoided by predecessors.
“These are economic ideas that countries like America, Germany, and the UK followed before getting to where they are today,” Yankasi said. He urged the youth group to build a strong presence across the region’s 1,400-plus wards, emphasising that ward-level mobilisation would be crucial to securing victory in 2027.
“With over 1,400 wards, you are at the core of election strategy. If you organise properly in these wards, Asiwaju will win the North Central,” he added.
The group’s Legal Adviser, Barr. Isah Iliyasu, called on youths to channel their energy into delivering over five million votes for Tinubu. He urged them to pursue the goal with diplomacy, lobbying, and strategic canvassing, stressing that the coming election must be fought peacefully, without aggression or crises.
