Adebayor storms Eagles camp on solidarity visit ahead Elephants’ clash

Togo great and former Arsenal talisman Emmanuel Adebayor has visited Super Eagles hotel in solidarity ahead of their much awaited and talked about clash with Elephants of Cote d Ivoire later today.

Permutations and expectations are high as the seconds and minute tick towards today’s showdown billed for the Alassanne Quattara Stadium

Speaking ahead of the encounter, Adebayor expressed optimism that Napoli star striker Victor Osimhen will make the difference for the Super Eagles against Ivory Coast today.

Adebayor has, however, backed the Napoli hit man to make the difference for the Super Eagles against the Elephants today.

“I’m here in the Super Eagles hotel to support the team and offer my support to Osimhen.

“He is doing well and is a pride to our continent. We all must rally round him to give him our support,” the former Tottenham, Real Madrid and Manchester City player reportedly told Daily Post in Abidjan earlier.

Osimhen who scored the equaliser that saved the Eagles from defeat in the hands of Equatorial Guinea, is being tipped to continue in the line as the Jose Peseiro tutored side attempt to down the hosts who already have three points in the bag after beating Guinea Bissau 2-0 in the opening match of the tournament.

A win for the hosts will shoot them into the knock out stage with a match to spare. The Eagles some say need to win the match to keep their hope of progressing into the knockout stage alive.

At the last edition hosted by Cameroon the Eagles failed to fly above Carthage Eagles of Tunisia thus hitting the exit door in the round of 16.
