Ahmed Jimoh confirms Gombe Utd’s readiness to pick NPFL ticket

Gombe United forward Ahmed Jimoh has stated emphatically that himself and his teammates are ready to pick the NPFL ticket in the NNL playoff scheduled to hold in Enugu.

The Offa born Super footballer made this assertion while reacting to the NNL playoff draw conducted on Monday evening where his team were drawn in Group A.

Gombe United under experienced gaffer Aliyu Zubair will face Niger Tornadoes, DMD FC, and El-Kanemi Warriors in what will be serious battles for the Savanah Scorpions.

Speaking with www.sportsdayonline.com ahead of their first game against El-Kanemi Warriors, Ahmed Jimoh who is one of the best forwards in the Nigerian League is positive about Gombe United getting descent results in Enugu.

“We did our best to make sure we qualified for the playoff because we have a target and the mandate is for Gombe United to return to the NPFL.

“We are playing under one of the best coaches in Nigeria and picking the NPFL ticket is what all of us in Gombe United are looking up to even thought we know that all our games will be tough,” Ahmed Jimoh explained.

Ahmed Jimoh who is nicknamed as ‘World best’ started his professional football career at Illah FC from where he joined Kwara United in 2013 and played under Coach Samson Unuanel, Abdulrahman and John Obuh at the Ilorin based club.

Before teaming up with Gombe United, Ahmed Jimoh also had stints at Wikki Tourists and Niger Tornadoes.
