All eyes will be on reigning World U20 200m champion, Udodi Onwuzurike as he seeks to complete a sprint double this Sunday at the Pac-12 Championships at the Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon, venue of this year’s World Athletics Championships this July.

Onwuzurike ran 10.25s to qualify for the final and will be looking forward to race past the 10.07s personal best he set at the start of April and possibly become the 12th Nigerian to run inside 10 seconds in the event.

The 19 year old will also run in the 200m final and the target will be beyond winning but also breaking the 20.21s personal best he set enroute to winning the World U20 title last August.

The Nigerian ran 20.38s last month and is the second fastest Nigerian over the distance so far this year behind Middle Tenneessee’s Alaba Akintola (20.34s).
