Beyond Limits Beat Dino To Win Supremacy Cup 2024

Beyond Limits Football Academy on Saturday at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, popularly known as Onikan stadium, defeated Dino FC to emerge proud winners of this year’s Supremacy Cup 2024.

The game which was pulsating, fascinating, intriguing and full of drama ended 1-1 at full time, before the Ikenne, Remo based side via penalty shoot out ran away 6-5 victors against the defending champions and fellow Ogun state based outfit to become the new crowned kings.

Before the final match, The Charlesann FC had earlier beaten 36 Lion 6-5 also on penalties after full time score ended 2-2 to win the third place.

Coach Olumide Ajibolade of Beyond Limits praised the organisers for hosting a great tournament while also saluting the fighting spirit and resilience of his players to win the competition.

“I must commend the organisers for a job well done.

“It’s never easy putting up such a standard tournament. A lot of kudos to the organisers.

“I also praise my players for their resilience and character.

“We have been having series of matches and tournaments but the boys never allowed that affect them”, he said.

The convener of the program, Hajj Gafar Liameed  revealed that about 14 players have been selected by the international scouts from the various teams.

He said the list will be made available to all the teams and the media after their final meeting.

“We will keep giving opportunities like this to our young ones for their development and growth.

“About 14 players have been selected by the scouts which the list will be made public shortly after our meeting this evening.

“This is a very transparent and open thing for everyone to see”, he noted.

No team has been able to retain their title back to back in the tournament to underline the standard of the competition.
