Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has insisted that Barcelona legend Sergio Busquets will be an exceptional coach in the near future.
Guardiola spoke at a press conference on Tuesday ahead of Man City’s Premier League tie with Brighton on Wednesday.
Busquets recently announced his departure from Barcelona this summer.
However, Guardiola, who coached the midfielder during his time at Barcelona, described him as the best in his position.
“The impact Busquets had as a midfielder in the last 15, 20 years is enormous. Busquets was the best, able to read everything that happens and anticipate situations,” Guardiola said.
“He didn’t move a lot, only in the centre, but he could solve any problem with his brain. It was fascinating to work and learn with him. I said it in private, I think he will be an exceptional coach.”
