Saudi Club Al-Hilal ready to sign Sadio Mane

Saudi league side Al-Hilal are interested in signing Nations Cup winner and Bayern Munich ace Sadio Mane it has been revealed.

According to Footmercato, Al-Hilal is interested in signing Sadio Mane in the summer. The Saudi Arabian club has approached Mane to open talks for a transfer. However, the former Liverpool forward is in no mood to leave Bayern and wants to play in Bavaria next season.

Along with Al-Hilal,Newcastle United are also closely following the situation of Sadio Mane at Bayern. The English club wants to add experience to the squad after qualifying for next season’s Champions League.

Meanwhile, Mane reportedly has no plans to give up on his time at Bayern so early. The Senegalese forward has made the club aware of his desire to stay and fight for a place in the team during next season. Bayern chiefs are yet to publicly address the speculation surrounding the future of Mane.
Bayern had expected Mane to hit the ground running after signing from Liverpool last summer. He did score consistently in the first month of the season, but his form dipped as the team also struggled for consistency. The 31-year-old suffered a serious injury at the start of November, which ruled him out for more than three months.

Mane made his return to action at the end of February. However, things have not gone as per plan for the former Liverpool forward since recovering from this injury. He has struggled to score goals in the past couple of months. The 31-year-old forward has not been the first-choice option in the forward line over the past few weeks.

From a sporting perspective, it is too early for Bayern to give up on Mane. He has bounced back well during his poor spells at Liverpool. The 31-year-old forward still has a lot to offer at the top level, and his experience can be valuable for Die Roten.
