Super Eagles assistant coach, Daniel Ogunmodede, is confident that the team will secure a spot in the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN).
Nigeria missed out on the previous edition of the tournament, which was hosted by Algeria, after being eliminated by long-time rivals Ghana in the qualifiers.
They will once again battle the Ghanaians for a place at the next edition of the competition to be co-hosted by Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.
Ogunmodede declared that Ghana can’t stop his team this time around.
“We are not thinking about the past, what is important now is the present and also looking at the future. We all know what is at stake including the players. We are giants of Africa, we know what it means to us to play at the CHAN,” he told the Super Eagles media.
“Ghana will have the confidence they knocked us out twice in the past. I think things will be different this time around.”
The first leg will hold at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, December 14.
The reverse fixture is slated for the Godswill Akpabio international Stadium, Uyo a week later.
