Chelsea midfielder Joao Felix is nearing the completion of a six-month loan move to Serie A club AC Milan.
Should the deal go through, Chelsea will receive a £5m loan fee, with no obligation for Milan to make the transfer permanent in the summer.
Felix, a 25-year-old Portugal international, has made only three Premier League starts this season, although he has featured regularly in cup competitions.
He has scored seven goals in the 2024-25 season, including one in Chelsea’s 6-2 win over Wolves in August, two goals each in Conference League matches against Panathinaikos and Noah, and a brace against League Two side Morecambe in the FA Cup.
Felix began his career at Benfica before moving to Atletico Madrid in July 2019 for £113m, making it the fifth-most expensive transfer in history at the time.
He had loan spells at Chelsea and Barcelona before joining Chelsea permanently in a £45m deal last August.
Chelsea currently sit sixth in the Premier League, but could rise to fourth with a win over West Ham on Monday (20:00 GMT).
Milan, currently eighth in Serie A, face Roma in the Coppa Italia quarter-finals on Wednesday and will also play a two-legged Champions League play-off against Feyenoord this month.
