Jennifer Echegini expressed her joy at being selected for the Super Falcons’ squad at the upcoming 2024 Olympic Games.
The midfielder, who was a surprise addition to Randy Waldrum’s team during last year’s FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand, will now represent Nigeria for the second time in a major tournament in Paris.
Speaking to NFF TV, the 23-year-old former Florida State Seminoles star said, “I’m really excited to be part of the squad for this big tournament. It’s always an honor to wear Nigeria’s crest. It is a big honor for me to be part of this team.”

Looking ahead, she added, “After this tournament that’s where I will be going. I’m just excited, good things are coming up again.”
