Manchester United legend, Gary Neville, has given his verdict on England’s 2022 FIFA World Cup quarter-final tie against France.

Neville believes England’s World Cup last-8 match against France is a “game of a lifetime” and feels defender Kyle Walker is the perfect man to match up forward Kylian Mbappe.

England will face France, who are the defending champions, in the World Cup quarter-final on Saturday.

The Three Lions head to the game after beating Senegal 3-0 in the last 16 over the weekend, while France defeated Poland 3-1.

“It is a game of a lifetime on Saturday,” Neville told Sky Sports.

“England vs France on a Saturday night at a World Cup quarter-final, they don’t come around in your life very often. They’re big moments. I can’t wait.

“This is a game we can lose. We know that they’re world champions and a fantastic team.

“If you lose on Saturday, unless it is a shambles, which it won’t be, you’re going to come out of the tournament getting a par. Going out in the second round is a bogey, the semi-finals are a birdie, and the final is an eagle. And winning it will be an albatross.”
