EPL: Control yourself – Ten Hag warns Man United star

Date:

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has warned the club’s winger Antony to learn to channel his passion.

This was after the former Ajax star was lucky to avoid a red card during their Premier League defeat to Brighton on Thursday night.

The Brazilian lashed out at Alexis MacAllister during the 1-0 defeat, and speaking of the winger, Ten Hag said: “I think his passion is his strength. Of course, until a certain level, you have to control it.

He, however, said that passion and desire are needed to win football games and to win battles in the game.

He said that the Brazilian is very ambitious but warned that he must not “go over the top” but has to stay focused.

Ten Hag said that Antony is a great player but only needs to control himself.
