Man Utd making progress in Rashford contract talks

Manchester United are reportedly making strong progress in their contract talks with Marcus Rashford.

The 25-year-old has been in excellent form for the Red Devils during the 2022-23 campaign, scoring 29 goals and registering 11 assists in 52 appearances in all competitions.

However, the attacker’s current deal with the 20-time English champions is due to expire next June.

Paris Saint-Germain continue to be heavily linked with the Man United academy product, and the French outfit are said to be keeping a close eye on the developments surrounding his future.

The Red Devils are currently in discussions with Rashford over a new deal, and according to The Telegraph, talks are ‘heading in the right direction’.

The report claims that Rashford is likely to become one of the top earners at Man United due to his impressive form under the management of Erik ten Hag.

The England international was linked with a move away from Old Trafford last summer due to his struggles during the 2021-22 campaign under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Ralf Rangnick.

However, Ten Hag had no interest in letting Rashford leave last year, insisting on a number of occasions that the forward would play a key role for him moving forward.

The Man United academy product has scored 16 goals and registered five assists in 32 Premier League appearances this season, with the Red Devils currently sitting fourth in the table.
