French pundit Menes urges Marseille to go for Man Utd striker Ronaldo

French pundit Pierre Menes is urging Olympique Marseille to make a move for Manchester United striker Cristiano Ronaldo.

It’s emerged that United manager Erik ten Hag would be willing to see Ronaldo depart before the summer market shuts.

Menes said on Pierrot Le Foot: “He is getting old. He still scored last year in a team that didn’t work. Now his attitude during the break was not good. Go somewhere else, why not? He can go to Sporting for almost nothing and do a farewell tour.

“He can perhaps, the rumour seems to have been revived, go to Marseille. I would love it.

“It would be good for the club, for Ligue 1. It would be the same as what (Lionel) Messi did at PSG.”
