Japan international Takumi Minamino fired the winner as Monaco stunned champions Paris Saint-Germain 1–0 in a Ligue 1 clash on Saturday at the Stade Louis II.
Minamino, 30, settled the contest midway into the second half, latching onto an Aleksandr Golovin cross before beating goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier. The goal handed PSG their second league defeat of the season and halted Monaco’s run of three consecutive losses.
Monaco finished the match with 10 men after former PSG defender Thilo Kehrer was sent off in the 80th minute following a VAR review for a foul on Ibrahim Mbaye. Despite seven minutes of added time, the hosts held firm to secure a much-needed victory.

The result lifts Monaco to sixth place, seven points behind PSG, whose only previous league defeat came against Marseille in September. PSG remain top with 30 points from 14 matches but could lose the lead, with Marseille and Lens both capable of overtaking them before the weekend ends.
Marseille, buoyed by a midweek 2–1 Champions League win over Newcastle, host Toulouse later on Saturday, while Lens travel to Angers on Sunday.
The match also saw Paul Pogba make a brief late appearance for Monaco, a week after returning from a long layoff following a doping ban.
PSG, coming off a 5–3 Champions League win over Tottenham on Wednesday, were short of full strength with Achraf Hakimi, Nuno Mendes and Desire Doue unavailable. Ousmane Dembélé, only fit enough for a second-half cameo, could not influence proceedings as the champions slumped to another domestic setback.
