Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has restated that his administration has delivered measurable improvements to the lives of residents in the last three years.

He spoke through his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, in response to comments by the All Progressives Congress (APC), which accused the governor of plunging the state into “systemic failure” and presiding over a dysfunctional government hampered by a prolonged judiciary strike.

Rasheed said the opposition’s claims do not reflect the reality on the ground, insisting that Osun has recorded steady progress across key sectors under Adeleke’s watch. He maintained that ongoing infrastructure projects, welfare initiatives and governance reforms have strengthened public confidence and improved economic prospects.

“In Osun today, the impact of good governance is evident. Residents can testify to the remarkable progress made under Governor Adeleke,” he said.

He faulted the APC for what he described as attempts to mislead the public, saying the administration had prioritised workers’ welfare by clearing salary arrears, promoting career progression and easing pensioners’ hardship through bond settlements and expanded healthcare coverage.

Rasheed added that the state had witnessed unmatched infrastructure renewal, with new roads, bridges and upgraded healthcare facilities meeting global standards. Public schools, he noted, were also receiving significant rehabilitation and equipment upgrades.

He said the procurement of 31 new tractors for farmers underscored the government’s commitment to agricultural mechanisation—an investment he claimed the APC failed to make in 12 years.

Rasheed dismissed criticism from former commissioner Sunday Akere, arguing that his record in previous administrations weakened his credibility. “It is not surprising that he mistakes the failures of the governments he served for the achievements of an administration that has so far delivered strongly for the people,” he said.
