No One Served Us Any Court Notice -Okumagba

Date:

Founder/National president of Super Eagles Supporters Club (SESC), Prince Vincent Okumagba has expressed shock over a report alleging that the association is in a legal toga with one of it’s member, Dr. Johnson Dagana.
Okumagba, who spoke exclusively to Sportsday newspaper, made it vehemently clear that no court notice has been served neither him nor the association.
He however warned sternly that the association will resist through legal means any attempt from the back door by anyone to malign, discredit or bring to disrepute the image of the association through dissemination of falsehood and propaganda.
His words:”I want to sound it emphatically clear that no one has served us any court notice.
“I’m infact shocked to now read a report that we’re in court and the other party claimed they’re optimistic of victory.
“We will however not shy away from resisting even to the highest court in the land any attempt from the back door to malign, discredit or tarnish the image of the association.
The Delta state -born football enthusiast, who is also the vice president of African football supporters Association, further noted that it’s pertinent to set the records straight for the sake of posterity and history, even though he hates to join words with anyone or engage in a media war of any sort.
“I do not know which election Dagana claimed to have won because there’s no vacancy existing in the national president position.
“My tenure has not elapsed, I still have about two years left, so there’s no truth in all of that.
“Beside that, there are 12 executive committee members of the association which 9 are still with us and only 3 of them which does not form a quorum left when I traveled abroad to seek medical treatment.
“How can someone from a chapter who has not even paid dues to qualify him to be a member want to hijack power illegally at the centre?, he queries.
“Even the Secretary that has the powers to call for an election is still alive and never exercised such powers at anytime, so how and who organized the acclaimed election.
“Even my Deputy president who takes charge when I’m not around, was also not party to the election and had rightly served them court processes to that effect”,
he concluded.
