Nigeria defender ola Aina will not be in the matchday squad when his club, Torino visit the San Siro on Friday to take on AC Milan in a Serie A Matchday 22 after the 26 year old was booked in his club’s 1-0 home win over Udinese on Sunday.
It was Aina’s first yellow card since he came back from a biceps femoris muscle injury and the fourth of the season so far. The Nigerian got the booking in the 86th minute and the consequence is that he will not be at the San Siro on Friday.
Aina has featured seven times against the Rossonneerri with six of the games coming in the Serie A while the seventh came in the Coppa Italian. The Nigerian has won two and lost two of the games in the league and also lost in the Coppa Italia tie.
He has provided just one assist and that was in the 4-2 extra time loss to Milan.
Aina has featured 12 times for Torino this season after the injury he copped in October forced him to miss eight Serie A games. He has scored once (against Udinese last October) and provided an assist (also against Udinese last Sunday).
Overall the Nigerian has played 95 times in the Serie A and has scored twice and provided six assists. Interestinlgy, his two Serie goals came against Udinese.
