Oshoala nets third game-winning goal for Bay FC, brings season tally to four

Asisat Oshoala netted her third game-winning goal for Bay FC in their 1-0 victory over Racing Louisville at PayPal Park on Saturday night. This match marked the club’s first home game in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) following the Paris Olympics break.

The Nigerian forward scored the only goal of the game in the 75th minute, thanks to an assist from Penelope Hocking, who made her first contribution for Bay FC on her club debut as a substitute.

Oshoala has now scored twice in two games against Racing Louisville this season during her debut year in the NWSL.

All of the former Barcelona of Spain player’s game-winning goals have come in 1-0 wins.

The Super Falcons star has now scored four goals, tying her as the top scorer for Bay FC this NWSL season.

Oshoala will aim to secure her fourth game-winning goal and help Bay FC achieve their third consecutive victory when they face North Carolina Courage in a highly anticipated match at WakeMed Soccer Park this Friday.
