Super Eagles head coach, Jose Peseiro has admitted his Portuguese compatriot, Fernando Santos faces a selection dilemma ahead of their clash against Morocco.
Portugal will face the Atlas Lions of Morocco in one of the quarter-final games at the 2022 FIFA World Cup on Saturday.
Santos will have to decide who leads the line for La Selecao against the North Africans after Goncalo Ramos scored a hat-trick in his side’s 6-1 rout of Switzerland in the Round of 16.
The 21-year-old was preferred ahead of captain Cristiano Ronaldo for the game and he justified his selection by becoming the first player to score three goals in a single game at Qatar 2022.
Peseiro insisted that his compatriot have a tough decision to make ahead of the game.
“it is not easy to put Cristiano back on the bench, just as it is not easy to put Gonçalo on the bench now, ” Peseiro, who is in Qatar, told Portuguese sports daily A Bola.
Peseiro is expected to be at the Al Thumama Stadium, Doha for the game.
