Rangnick apologises to Man U fans for embarrassing defeat

Bruno Fernandes Heard Man Utd Fans Chanting ‘You’re Not Fit To Wear The Shirt’ And Had To Respond

Bruno Fernandes has responded to Manchester United fans chanting the players aren’t fit to wear the shirt. Check out the chant below.

United were dismantled 4-0 by Brighton on Saturday evening and the result means they’re mathematically unable to qualify for next season’s Champions League.

The Red Devils have underwhelmed all season and tensions have reached a boiling point within the fanbase.

‘You’re not fit to wear the shirt’ echoed from the AMEX Stadium away end as Leandro Trossard made it four and Fernandes was quizzed about it at full-time.

When asked if the assessment was fair, the Portugal international told Sky Sports: “I include myself on that. What we did today, what I did today, was not enough to be in the Manchester United shirt and I accept that.”

Fernandes signed a new contract last month to take him up to £250,000-per-week and one of United’s highest earners.

The 27-year-old has had a poor season by his own high standards, but is holding himself accountable in a tricky period.
