Rivers Hoopers lose semi final to Kwara Falcons

Four-time champions of the Nigeria Premier League, Rivers Hoopers have been eliminated from the Louis Edem Foundation Invitational Tournament in Lagos.

Hoopers succumbed to a 57-67 defeat at the hands of the reigning Nigeria league champions, Kwara Falcons on Friday.

The Port Harcourt club struggled on the offensive end and found it difficult to defend everything thrown at them by Falcons.

Kwara Falcons made a 13-3 run in the second quarter to lead by 10. It was however cut down to 7 at the break (32-25) after Victor Koko shot from the deep.

Things got worse in the third quarter as Hoopers struggled more offensively and trailed by 17 (37-54) at the end of the third quarter.

The KingsMen made a lot of attempts to reduce the deficit but the Falcons had answers to every question.

With the victory, Kwara Falcons progressed to the final where they will meet Spintex Knights of Ghana on Saturday.
