Napoli striker Victor Osimhen was delighted to end his penalty hoodoo after converting for the winner against Fiorentina.
Osimhen had seen an earlier spotkick saved before making good on the second effort.
“Of course, big kudos to (Piotr) Zielinski. I missed the first one, so I had to score the second one and I had the confidence I would score the second one. It’s a good feeling to get the goal,” Osimhen told DAZN.
Osimhen could become the Serie A leading season goalscorer for the title winners for the first time since 2016.
“I think the curse is about to be broken, we still have four games to go and I want to get as many goals as possible, while winning the games.”
