Belgium coach Roberto Martinez has said he wasn’t surprised seeing Romelu Lukaku return to Inter Milan.

Lukaku has re-signed for Inter on-loan after a year away with Chelsea.

Martinez said: “I’ve known Romelu for years, I’m absolutely not surprised by his choice and his determination to return.

“He wanted Milan, whatever it costs: it was what he wanted.

“He gave Inter a lot in his first experience and, between the Europa League final and the Scudetto, he created an emotional bond with the Inter people that never stopped.”
