Heavily gifted and experienced coach of Smart city, Olayiwola Dabiri, has told his boys to quickly put behind their 2-0 loss to Abia Comets, in their week one game at the Enyimba international stadium, Aba, saying, it’s just one bad day in office, which happens in football.

Dabiri, despite the loss, gave kudos to his boys for putting up a very delightful fighting spirit, adding that they will correct the little lapses they noticed against Comets in the crucial battle against arch rivals, Inter Lagos, this weekend, saying it’s a must win game.

“I truly appreciate my boys for putting up a good fight against Abia Comets, despite the loss, we really gave a good account of ourselves and I am happy with what I saw from my boys, and I swiftly told them, I am proud of them, that they should raise their heads up and focus on the next big game against Inter Lagos'”, he said.

“This league season is like a marathon, we have loads of games to play, losing our first game of the season is not the end of the road for us, I am grossly confident, my team will get positive results both home and away in the cause of the season, our focus is to get a ticket to the NPFL, and we will do everything humanly possible to achieve that, by the grace of God”, he added.

Smart City will go to battle this weekend, in their week two fixtures at home against Lagos’ rivals, Inter Lagos, at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos state.
