The player of River Angels have been speaking tough ahead of their semifinal match against Amis Du Monde of Togo at the ongoing WAFU B qualifier billed forย Stade Robert Champroux this evening.
The reigning Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership Champions kept a clean sheet in the group stage of the tournament after scoring a total of 7 goals, topping their group ahead of Ghanaโs Hasaacas Ladies FC.

Captain of Rivers Angels, Catherine Kenneth says the team has come a long way to lose focus right now.โ We have come a long way in the tournament to lose focus. We have to keep our head high to make sure we achieve our aim,โ she said.
According to the defender, โthe level of concentration in the team is high and we must give in our best to pick one of the tickets to Egypt,โ She added.
Asked if there is any pressure mount on the team, Kenneth confirmed that there is nothing like, adding that they are getting every support needed to make Rivers Proud.
โThe spirit in camp is high and thereโs no pressure from anyone. โThough we know millions of Nigerians are banking on us to come through and theyโll be following todayโs game and we will not disappoint them.
โWe have workedย so hard, nothing is stopping us from making it to Egypt tomorrow,โ she said.
Also speaking ahead of the game is Rivers Angels midfielder, Deborah Abiodun who says the team has gotten all the motivation they need from the Rivers State Government.
