President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has arrived in Lagos State to spend the end-of-year holidays following official visits to Borno and Bauchi states.
He was received at the presidential wing of Murtala Muhammed International Airport by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, government officials, and chieftains of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Tinubu had departed Abuja on Saturday for a three-state tour, which began in Borno, where he commissioned projects executed by the state government under Governor Babagana Zulum in collaboration with the Federal Government.
While in Maiduguri, the President also attended the wedding of Sadeeq Sheriff, son of former Borno State Governor and Senator Ali Modu Sheriff, and his bride, Hadiza Kam Salem.
From Borno, Tinubu proceeded to Bauchi State to pay a condolence visit to the state government and the family of Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi, the late renowned Islamic cleric and leader of the Tijjaniyya Muslim Brotherhood, who passed away on November 27.

After the condolence visit, the President arrived in Lagos, where he is expected to participate in several activities during the holiday period.
Among his planned engagements, Tinubu is set to attend the Eyo Festival on December 27 as the guest of honour. The event, to be held at Tafawa Balewa Square, will celebrate prominent figures, including the President’s late mother, Alhaja Abibatu Mogaji, as well as former Lagos State Governors Alhaji Lateef Jakande and Chief Michael Otedola.
