Transfer: Super Eagles winger, Ejuke joins Hertha Berlin on loan

Bundesliga club, Hertha Berlin have announced the signing of Nigeria winger Chidera Ejuke on loan from CSKA Moscow.

Ejuke capitalized on the Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) rule that allows foreign footballers from the Russian Premier League to unilaterally suspend their contracts at Russian clubs until the summer of 2023 to trigger the move.

“I’m looking forward to playing for Hertha, to the Bundesliga and this special challenge,” the 24-year-old told Hertha Berlin’s official website.

“I want to do my bit in helping the club achieve its goals.”

Ejuke linked up with CSKA Moscow from Eredivisie club, SC Heerenveen in 2020.

The pacy winger has scored 10 goals and provided eight assists in 65 competitive appearances for CSKA Moscow.
