U-17 AFCON: Golden Eaglets open camp early next year

Nigeria’s U-17 side, the Golden Eaglets, will begin preparations for the 2023 Africa U-17 Cup of Nations early next year.

The competition will be staged in Algeria from April 8 to April 30.

The Golden Eaglets were last in action in June when they defeated Burkina Faso 2-1 in the final of the WAFU B Championship.

The Flying Eagles started preparations for the Africa U-20 Cup of Nations last week, but DAILY POST learnt the Eaglets camp will kick-start their camping exercise in 2023.

Twelve teams will compete for honours at the 2023 AFCON.

The top four teams in the competition will represent Africa at the 2023 FIFA U-17 World Cup.

The competition will be held in Peru from November 10 to December 2, 2023.
