Nigeria U20 women side continued their fine preparation for the maiden WAFU-B U20 Women’s Cup after they thrashed Paul E Queens 10-0 in Sunday’s international friendly played in Abuja.

The Falconets went into their third warm-up encounter on the back of two victories in a row, beginning with a 5-1 victory over Abuja U15 boys a week ago before a 3-0 win over Josiah Academy last Tuesday.

With the final squad named, Christopher Danjuma’s side made a bright start as they stormed into a 6-0 first half lead thanks to a brace from Shukurat Oladipo and Esther Onyenezide plus a strike from Taiwo Ajakaye and Aminat Bello.

In the second half, the Abuja-based opponents held out for some minutes before the Falconets eventually increased their tally thanks to Goodness Osigwe setting up Onyenezide for her treble in the 52nd minute.
