The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has officially welcomed Dele Momodu, publisher of Ovation Magazine and former presidential aspirant, into its ranks.
Momodu joined the opposition party on Thursday as the country gears up for the 2027 general elections.
At a declaration event in Benin City, Edo State, he pledged to work with like-minded Nigerians to “rescue and reposition” the nation.
The Ovation publisher said his decision to join the ADC was driven not by personal political ambition but by a commitment to national renewal.

He added that he has no plans to contest any elective office, noting that his focus would be on contributing to solutions for the country’s challenges.
In response to Momodu’s defection, the ADC expressed satisfaction on its verified X (formerly Twitter) handle on Friday.
The party said, “We are delighted to officially welcome the Publisher of Ovation International and former presidential candidate of the National Conscience Party, Dele Momodu, to the ADC. You made the right choice.”
