Zinedine Zidane turns down €150m offer to coach new club

Former Real Madrid head coach, Zinedine Zidane has turned down an offer to coach Saudi Arabia club, Al-Nassr.

According to Footmercato, Al-Nassr, who signed Cristiano Ronaldo a few months ago, offered Zidane a two-year contract worth €150million, but the Frenchman turned it down.

Zidane, who has been linked with the France national team job, Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea in the past, is not interested in managing Al-Nassr.

He wants to take over at a major club in Europe’s top five leagues, although it remains to be seen whether that opportunity presents itself in the near future.

The 50-year-old has not taken charge of any club since he left Real Madrid in 2021.

Across his two spells at Real Madrid, Zidane won 11 major trophies, which included three Champions League titles in succession between 2016 and 2018.
