Arsenal’s Balogun told to choose England over Nigeria, USA

Date:

Arsenal midfielder, Emile Smith Rowe, has urged teammate Folarin Balogun to choose England over Nigeria and the USA.

Balogun’s future in terms of international football is currently unclear.

The Arsenal loanee is yet to pledge his allegiance to Nigeria, England or the USA.

He is eligible to represent all three countries on the international stage.

But Smith Rowe said that he wants Balogun to pledge his allegiance to England.

Speaking about Balogun’s future, Smith Rowe was quoted by Football London as saying: “Of course [I would prefer he chooses England], but it is his decision, that is down to him to do what he wants to do.

“It would be nice if he could be with us in the summer, but as I said, that is down to him and he has got to do what is best for him.”
