The Flamingos of Nigeria stormed India on Friday ahead of the 2022 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.

The players and their officials left Kocaeli, Turkey on Thursday night for the Asian country.

Bankole Olowookere’s girls defeated Galatasaray 3-1 and lost by the same scoreline to Fenerbahce.

“Hello India! Our sisters, Flamingos have arrived Goa for #U17WWC after a five-hour stopover in Mumbai.

Players and officials have since settled down at Grand Hyatt Hotel,”reads a tweet on the Super Falcons Twitter handle.

The Flamingos will face Germany in their first game in the competition next week Tuesday in Goa.
