U-20 AFCON: 20 Flying Eagles Players Arrive Egypt Ahead Senegal Game

Twenty Flying Eagles Players and ten officials left Morocco on Thursday morning and arrived Cairo International Airport at 5:30pm after wrapping up preparations ahead of the U20 African Nations Cup tournament scheduled to start on next Sunday.

On arrival in Cairo, the team was received by the officials of the Nigeria Embassy in Egypt and went straight to Jewel Sports City and Aqua Resorts where the players and officials will be based.

The seven times African champions will have their first training session on Friday morning at 6:30 am (Nigerian time).

Nigeria who are in group A with Senegal, Egypt and Mozambique will start their campaign on Sunday with Senegal before second game against host, Egypt next Tuesday. The 2015 champions will trade tackles with Mozambique on 25th February, 2023 in their last group game.

All four semi-finalists will represent Africa at the FIFA U20 World Cup in Indonesia.
